ISM - Silicon Valley, Inc. is a communication link with more than 1,000 purchasing and materials management professionals located in Silicon Valley. Worldwide, Institute for Supply Management has over 35,000 professionals engaged in the supply management profession.

We are a progressive not for profit association with a mission to provide national and international leadership in supply management, purchasing, and materials management.

All of ISM - Silicon Valley, Inc.'s calendar of events provide differentiated educational programs that address the backgrounds of both new and experienced supply management and purchasing professionals.

Our curriculum focuses on a basic core of courses and leading edge topics, which are evaluated on an on-going basis to remain current with trends and developments in the supply management, purchasing, and materials management profession.

There are two forms of membership: Regular and Associate.

Regular: $245. per year from anniversary date of join date

Associate: $135. per year from anniversary date of join date

Membership Eligibility Requirements

Per ISM - Silicon Valley, Inc. Bylaws, Article III, Affiliations & Membership

Regular and associate memberships in an Affiliated Association shall be limited to
the following:

(a) A person who is involved in the purchasing or materials process, including without limitation, purchasing, purchasing research, value analysis, inventory control, materials management, supply chain management, or any other activity or function which is related to purchasing or materials process.

(b) An editor, secretary, or business manager employed by an Affiliated Association.

(c) A person with a full-time appointment as a teacher, research specialist, department head, director or dean of a college, university, or other academic institution whose academic responsibility includes purchasing management or materials management or other related fields or subjects.

(d) A Regular or Associate member whose dues are currently paid on a continuous basis who is unemployed shall continue to be eligible for membership.

(e) A Regular or Associate member whose dues are currently paid on a continuous basis who retires shall continue to be eligible for membership.

(f) An undergraduate or graduate student enrolled full time in an accredited community college or four-year college or university.

(g) A person who is engaged in the business of providing consulting services primarily in the field of purchasing management and materials management on condition that such person does not solicit members of an Affiliated Association for consulting engagements. Persons in charge of sales or the solicitation of orders are NOT eligible for membership. In principle and in practice, ISM - Silicon Valley, Inc.values and seeks a diverse membership. Individual viewpoints and contributions are pursued and respected. There are no affiliated with an association which fails to adhere to the provisions of this statement of policy.
